"If you haven't tried this with your ferrets yet ... GET IT!! I just recently got some and I have to swear that there was only a hint of hesitation in any of mine trying it. And, once they did ... MAN did they dive right in!!! I bought both varieties just in case they didn't like one or the other .. They LOVE BOTH!" - D. Desrochers
Convenient Quality
Mixing up a healthy soup is easy and convenient with Pingford's Porridge. Simply place 1 part dry Porridge and 2 parts water in an airtight container and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Then blend well in your blender until smooth. You may add more or less water, depending on the preference of your ferret. Refrigerate hydrated Porridge in an airtight container and use within 4-5 days. Dry Porridge should be stored in the freezer and will last for months.

Feeding Tips
Before trying anything else, allow your ferret to sniff a bowl or plate of Porridge. He or she may dive right in without any coaxing at all. I have yet to meet a ferret who wins this battle!
♥ Add some of your ferret’s favorite supplement to a bowl of Porridge.
♥ Serve Porridge slightly warmed or at room temperature.
♥ Dab a bit on the tip of your ferret’s nose or rub a little on the gums.
♥ Try hand feeding. Hold your ferret in your arm and offer a small bowl of
Porridge.
♥Place a warm plate of Porridge on the floor and hold your ferret there until he or she takes a lick.
Our own ferrets are served Pingford’s Porridge several times a day, up to every few hours depending on the health and appetite of the ferret. Always feed Pingford’s Porridge as per your veterinarian’s guidance.
The Litter Box
Introducing new food to a ferret can and usually does cause changes in the litter box. Pingford’s Porridge is rich in animal fats and proteins. If your ferret is accustomed to a kibble-only diet, or a mixture that contains less fat and protein, he or she may experience runny stools for a short time. Barring any existing health problems in your ferret, there is no need for alarm. Your ferret should adjust to the regular addition of Pingford’s Porridge within a few days.
